Church groups plans a murder

A CHURCH group in Warrington is planning a “murder.”
But there is no need for alarm – the event is a staging of the classic play “The Killing of Sister George” by Stockton Heath Methodist Dramatic Society.
And as a change from their usual productions the group will stage the production of Frank Marcus’ 60s comedy in the round.
Director David Matthews said: “Although this style of production reduces the number of seats for our audience, we felt that it would create a more intimate approach and allow the actors chance to really explore the space.”
The play runs for three nights from Thursday March 3 at the Methodist church hall, Walton Road.
Tickets priced at £6 (£5 concessions) will be available on the door but anyone interested in advance tickets should call 01925 264179.
