TEN man Warrington Town showed true grit and determination and were more than a match for lowly Ossett Albion as they stretched their unbeaten run to 10 games with a 2-0 victory at Cantilever Park.
When winger Mike Duffy saw red after just 18 minutes of a scrappy opening it looked set to be an uphill struggle for Town.
But to their credit the team dug deep in a game which was always going to a potential banana skin with Ossett struggling at the wrong end of the table and desparate for points to avoid the drop.
With the game goaless at the interval there was always a danger than 10 man Town could fade but to their credit they dug deep and starte dto play flowing football.
Their just rewards arrived int he 65th minute in the shape of midfield dynamo Sam Finlay who finished off neatly.
Warrington continued to push and appeared to have the extra man as they continually piled pressure on the tiring Ossett defence.
The second goal game eight minutes from time when a flowing move was sweetly finished off by man-of-the-match Gavin Salmon.
Next up for Town is a tricky trip to Mossley on Saturday, kick off 3pm, followed by the Cheshire Cup Semi-Final at Northwich next Tuesday.
