Town prepare for action!

WARRINGTON Town are hopeful that their New Year’s Day derby clash with near neighbours Witton Albion will take place at Cantilever Park, with no frost forecast in the coming week.
The thaw came too late for their Bank Holiday Monday clash at Salford but Joey Dunn is keen to get his team back in action sooner, rather than later.
Despite just two games over the past five weeks, Dunn has been keeping his players fit, training on the snow covered Cantilever park pitch and in the gym.
Town’s clash with Witton and then at table topping Chester two days later will be a real test for Warrington’s play-off aspirations.
But they will be without new striker Chris Thompson who starts a four match ban after being sent off for violent conduct in the 2-0 Cheshire Cup victory over Congleton Town.
