SANTA was special guest at MEPC Birchwood Park when he was joined by Birchwood Lions to help donate free mince pies to lunchtime workers.
Santa helped encourage local workers and residents to give donations for both the Birchwood Lions and the Birchwood Endowment Fund.
The Birchwood Endowment Fund is part of Grassroots Grants, an exciting scheme that provides help direct to community groups in the Birchwood area.
Local groups with annual incomes below £30,000 can apply for a grant of £250 to £5000 in a straightforward and easy way.
The Birchwood Lions also raise and distribute thousands of pounds for needy causes in the Birchwood community.
The grand total raised, including government match funding for the Birchwood Endowment Fund, was £431.63!
