TWO Warrington students have gained a place at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
Heather Gould, 18, and Calvin Williams, 17, of Priestley College, have been given the opportunity to further enhance their outstanding musical talents.
Heather, who is also studying Maths, Further Maths and Law, is an accomplished performer with the clarinet.
She said: “I was thrilled to learn this news as from a very early age all I have wanted to do is be a professional musician.
“As well as studying music at Priestley I am also a member of the Halle Youth Orchestra, so to be able to continue my journey at RNCM will be brilliant.”
Calvin, who is studying both Music Technology and Music Performance, said: “I only began playing my guitar in year nine at school and largely taught myself. Studying at Priestley has enhanced my skills, which can only further improve at the Royal Northern College.”
