Road closed after collision

A MAN is in a serious condition in Warrington Hospital after being injured in a collision in the town this morning.
The 38-year-old was involved in a collision with a green Green Fiat Stilo car on the A574 Birchwood Way.
Police said the casualty had been a passenger in a truck which broke down. The accident occurred at 10.54am.
The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Risley Moss Road was closed at the junction with Birchwood Park and Birchwood Way and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call traffic police on 0845 458 0000.
