Dickens of a day at Lymm!

0

THOUSANDS of people flocked to the annual Lymm Dickensian Festival as traders and villagers turned back the clock to Victorian times.
Local school children, community organisations and local traders entered into the spirit of the occasion by dressing in period costume.
The parade was led by Town Crier and local councillor Peter Powell and was blessed with fine weather for change.
The event is organised each year by the local Rotary and Roundtable charities and supported financially by Lymm Parish Council.
The aim is to boost trade in the village in the run up to Christmas and help local community groups raise their profiles and much-needed funds.
