Hospital lottery
TWO winners shared the £212 jackpot prize in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital. Winning numbers were 3, 5, 7 and 14. A £25 consolation prize was won by a member of hospital staff and three special £50 Christmas prizes were won by members of staff.
New house
PLANS to demolish Harwolde, a house in Lakeside Road, Lymm to make way for construction of a new house have been approved by Warrington planners.
Christmas fair
A CHRISTMAS fair is being held at the Cheshire Dogs Home in Knutsford Road, Grappenhall tomorrow (Sunday). It opens at 1pm and will feature cards, home baked cakes, crats, jewellery, old-style sweets and drinks.
Mobile phone mast
A 15m high telecommunications mast and equipment cabinet can be located on land at the junction of Old Hall Road and Cromwell Avenue, Whittle Hall, Warrington, following the granting of planning consent by borough planning chiefs.
Memorial service
BEREAVED parents will be able to light a candle in memory of their lost child at a special service at St Elphin’s Parish Church, Warrington, on Monday at 7.30pm. Afterwards, tea, coffee and mince pies will be served.
Boot sale
A CAR boot sale and Christmas fair is being held at Penketh High School, Warrington, tomorrow (Sunday) at 12 noon to raise money for a conservation and education trip to Ecuador in 2013.
