TRAFFIC was held up on the M6 today after a collision on Thelwall Viaduct, near Warrington.
The Highways Agency said there was queuing traffic on the southbound carriageway after Junction 21 – the interchange with the A57 at Woolston. One lane was closed for a while.
The vehicles involved in the collision – believed to be two lorries – had been moved on to the hardshoulder and all lanes had been re-opened.
But police warned that there was still congestion on the motorway and other roads including the A57 and the A49.
