Jenny back home with her family

JENNY, the Springer Spaniel who went missing on fields near the old Burtonwood Airbase last Tuesday, has been found, safe and well.
She was found in the area where she went missing by another dog owned by Jenny’s owner, Victoria Carney.
Victoria had enlisted the aid of Warrington-Worldwide readers after Jenny went missing and had offered a £250 reward.
She was particularly worried her pet may have been stolen as another Springer had gone missing from the Newton-le-Willows areas shortly before.
Victoria and her family and friends spent hours searching the area, even sleeping in the car on Tuesday evening in case she turned up.
Posters were put up around the area, dog wardens, rescue centres, police, vets and kennels were contacted – to no avail.
Warrington-Worldwide readers joined the search, some of them printing off copies of the poster to display in their own areas.
Victoria said: “Jenny is home safe and well. Amazingly she was found in the area where she went missing – one of our other dogs found her.
“We’ll never know how we didn’t find her sooner as that land has been searched and searched again by us and by others – If only she could talk!
“I would like to thank everyone who helped and offered support – we really are grateful.”
But Victoria added that Jess, the Springer from Newton is still missing so she would ask people to keep looking for her so that she is soon back with her owners.”
