FIRE caused extensive damage to a domestic garage at a house in Broad Lane, Grappenhall, Warrington.
The blaze was in an attached, double garage and fire crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled it with two hose reels.
They managed to prevent flames from spreading into the house.
The cause is still not known, but could have been an electrical fault.
Early today, fire crews dealt with an arson attack on a car parked in Cobden Street, Warrington, using a hosereel.
