No free bus service

LATE night revellers in Stockton Heath over the festive season will not be provided with a free bus service to Warrington.
Stockton Heath Parish Council, which has previously funded the service, has decided not to do so this year.
Members heard the costs of providing the service for six nights would be £688.
Chairman Graham Roughsedge was in favour of the service, and said he would rather pay the money than have people “hanging around” the village.
But other members were opposed to the scheme saying there were plenty of taxis available.
