THE switch-on of the Christmas lights in Stockton Heath will be in Victoria Square at 6pm on Friday December 3.
This year members have approved purchase of a smaller tree, in a bid to keep costs down. The tree and festive lights will cost a total of £2,975.
Decorations will include the tree in Victoria Square and lights in five adjacent real trees.
There will also be lights in St Thomas’ Churchyard, London Road/Orchard St, Pilling Gardens and Walton Rd/Whitefield Rd.
Local schoolchildren will be invited to lead carol singing at the switch-on.
