X FACTOR contestant Treyc Cohen will officially switch on the Christmas lights at Golden Square shopping centre following her exit from the ITV show on Sunday.
Treyc (pictured) was voted off the show following a sing off with fellow category member Katie Waissel.
The show was one of the most talked about of the series with 15 million viewers tuning in to watch the results.
Treyc will now perform in the Old Marketplace at Golden Square on November 18.
The audience will also be entertained by up-and-coming boy band The Mend, local vocalist Laura Harrison who has performed at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, Bob the Builder and his Never Mind the Breezeblocks show, Warrington based street dancers Nu Era and Parr Hall’s larger than life panto stars.
This year’s light switch on is a free ticketed event and all 2,000 tickets have already been handed out by the centre.
A limited number of spaces will be available for those who arrive early but entry can only be guaranteed after 5pm with a ticket.
The event will also be shown on a big screen in Bridge Street for those who are unable to secure a ticket, including the moment when Treyc and a lucky competition winner switch on the lights.
