Lee Briers passes smiles around

WARRINGTON Wolves star Lee Briers has taken over the role of Children’s Ward Ambassador at Warrington Hospital – and has brought a smile to 11-year-old Matthew Ford’s face.
Nurses on the ward arranged a visit from Lee to Wolves fan Matthew who had been in hospital for a couple of weeks and needed cheering up.
Lee popped in with a signed shirt and beanie hat to keep Matthew warm on his road to recovery.
Matthew, a big Wolves fan, was mascot at one of their games in August.
Lee, who has taken over as Player Ambassador from Matt King, also donated a signed Challenge Cup shirt to the ward and this is being raffled off to raise funds for medical equipment and new furniture for the Children’s Ward.
Tickets will be on sale in the hospital’s main entrance between 1-2pm on Thursday and Friday (Nov 4-5).
