THE second man arrested in connection with the assault on a rugby fan at Warrington last month has been released on police bail.
Police say he has been bailed until December 15, pending further enquiries.
The 29-year-old is from the Pontefract area of Yorkshire.
Several weeks ago, a 26-year-old man, also from Pontefract, was arrested but later released on bail.
Both men were questioned in connection with an attack on a Halifax fan on September 26, following the Halifax v Featherstone Rovers National League One grand final, which was hosted at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
The victim of the attack, David Singer, 32, from Halifax, remains in hospital and in a critical but stable condition.
