Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1, 2, 9, 11. No-one claimed the jackpot prize which will be rolled-over to next week and a £25 consolation prize was won by a hospital visitor.

Extensions refused
PLANS to demolish an existing car port and garage at a house in St Mary’s Close, Appleton, Warrington to make away for single and two storey extensions to the side, front and rear of the property have been thrown out by planning chiefs.

Swap shop
A SWAP shop enabling young people to exchange items such as clothing, shoes, jewellery, etc, takes place at The Gateway, Sankey Street, Warrington on Saturday, October 30. The event will start at 12 noon and is part of “Make a Difference Day.”

Change of use
PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for the change of use of retail premises at Rusgan House, Barbauld Street to restaurants and cafes.

Charity jumble
A CHARITY jumble sale at Padgate Methodist Church today (Saturday) will raise funds for the church at St Rocco’s Hospice.
