A SPECIAL event is being held in Warrington to mark the end of local celebrations of 100 years of Guiding.
Moss Edge Girl Guiding is holding its centenary finale “Vision” on October 20.
Moss Edge covers Gorse Covert, Locking stumps, Oakwood, Croft, Culcheth, Woolston, Padgate and Cinnamon Brow, and more than 500 people from units in these areas will attend.
Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, senior section and leaders will all take part.
Event spokesperson Jennifer Lyons said: “The aim of Vision is to bring all members of Girlguiding UK together to share one moment in time. A time for reflection on the fun of the last year, what the promise means to each of us, and to explore our hopes and dreams for the future.”
During the evening many members will take part in a promise renewal.
Those taking part in the celebration will walk from their own areas to meet at The Centre Cafe on Birchwood Science Park.
