A FILM about a Warrington teenager who died after being attacked during a night out in the town centre, is being shown as part of a film festival.
The Long Shot Festival is being staged at Winmarleigh House, Winmarleigh Street, on Friday October 22 from 7pm.
Following the success of last year’s event, the festival will feature 11 short films all made by Warrington film makers. The artists come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, with the youngest being just 17.
Among the films being show is “Dale”, based on the story of the death of Warrington teenager Dale Whitfield who died after being attacked in the town centre.
Also featured is “Pram” by local writer Christine Marshall, which was also shown at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
