Armed robbery at betting shop

DETECTIVES at Warrington have issued an appeal for help from the public following a robbery at a local betting shop.
The raid was at Stan James Bookmakers, in Bridgewater Street, Lymm when two men entered the premises – one of them brandishing a kitchen knife.
They demanded cash from the till, threatened the cashier and made off with a quantity of cash in a plastic carrier bag.
The cashier, a 31-year-old local man was shaken but unhurt.
Both offenders were wearing balaclavas to conceal their faces. One wore a green shell-suit type jacket and the second wore a white jacket with black horizontal stripes.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have seen anyone leaving the area in suspicious circumstances Anyone who can help should contact Warrington CID on 0845 458 0000.
