“Glossy” newsletter
MEMBERS of Stockton Heath Parish Council’s finance and general purposes committee are recommending that the council’s newsletter be printed on “glossy” paper next year at a cost of £900 for two issues.

Restaurant refused
PLANS to change the use of a shop in Walton Road, Stockton Heath, Warrington to a two-storey restaurant have been rejected.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1, 7, 9 and 16. Two winners shared the jackpot prize of £455 and a £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Art workshop
WARRINGTON Older People’s Forum has organised an art workshop at Warrington Baptist Church, Sankey Street, on Thursday, October 21 at 10am. It will be led by local artist Arthur Gee.

School lift
PLANS for a lift to be installed at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School, Warrington, to improve access for disabled pupils and staff have been given the go-ahead.

Open day
PARENTS and prospective pupils have been invited to an open day at Culcheth Primary School on Thursday, October 14. The school will be open between 2pm-3.15pm and again between 6pm-7pm.
