Mother and baby escape blaze home

A MOTHER and baby escaped from a smoke-filled flat at Warrington early today after fire broke out in the hallway.
The blaze was at a ground floor flat in Marsden Avenue.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the outbreak using two hosereel jets and later used ventilation equipment to clear smoke from the property.
The mother and baby climbed out of a front window to escape before fire crews reached the scene and were unhurt.
Fire experts are still investigating the cause of the outbreak.
In a separate incident, firefighters extinghished a blaze involving a shed on the allotments in Victoria Park, Latchford.
