Community plans go on show

AMBITIOUS plans for five areas of Warrington have gone on show in local libraries.
The neighbourhood plans are been produced by the borough council in partnership with other key service providers and organisations in Warrington as part of the Stronger Together initiative.
They outline the ambitions and priorities, identified with the help of residents, for each of the five Stronger Together neighbourhood areas – central, south, west, east and town centre.
Coun Liz Smith, the council’s executive member for neighbourhoods and communities said: “Residents have played a key role in the formation of these plans. We really value their input to the work that the council and its partners are doing.
“In getting involved with neighbourhood boards they are helping to shape the future delivery of services to ensure they are focused on the priorities of local people.”
The neighbourhood area teams are based at:- Central: Orford Day Centre (01925 241360); East: Oakwood Neighbourhood Centre (01925 816941); South: Westy Community Centre (01925 572072); West: Whitecross Community Centre (01925 638836); Town Centre management team: New Town House (01925 458010).
Stronger Together delivers neighbourhood working to communities across the borough with the aim of ensuring local people can influence decisions about their neighbourhood.
