WARRINGTON Town are expecting prolific goal scorer Tony Evans (pictured above) to return to action when they take on Stalybridge Celtic in the The FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round at Cantilever Park tomorrow, 3pm.
Evans, who is averaging a goal a game in his eleven appearances this season, has missed the last two games which both ended in defeat, after injurying himself while scoring in the 4-2 victory over Bamber Bridge in the 2nd qualifying round replay.
The classy forward has been receiving treatment to his knee injury and is expected to be passed fit.
Meanwhile Blue Square Bet North side Stalybridge Celtic come to Town looking for a win after an extra time victory over Alfreton Town in the previous round.
Managed by former Morecambe boss Jim Harvey, they sit 11th in the league table having gained 12 points from 10 league games. The young side are full time in the division and include a number of players who have played higher up the league ladder.
Striker Jody Banim is a famous name in the Northern Premier League after breaking records at Radcliffe Borough in his younger days while his partner up front Phil Marsh, is a former Manchester United academy player having played at this level for FC United Of Manchester and Leigh Genesis.
Despite the visitors being two leagues higher Joey Dunn’s side will be full of confidence going into the game after gaining three wins to get this far already.
Both teams will play in their away kits in in accordance with FA guidelines.Warrington will play in all red and the visitors Stalybridge Celtic in all yellow.
This is because Town’s home strip is yellow and blue and therefore clashes with both Stalybridge’s strips.
Meanwhile Warrington’s latest signing is midfielder Adam Wade who has joined the club having had spells perviously with Bamber Bridge, Skelmersdale United and Runcorn Linnets.
He made his debut in the 3-0 defeat at Garforth on Tuesday.
Admission for tomorrow’s game is £7 for adults, £4 for concessions, £2 for U16s, while Under 12s get free admission when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
