A WARRINGTON artist whose ill health meant she had to leave her home is selling her artwork to raise funds for the Diabetes Society UK.
Pat Winnington suffers from diabetes and because of her condition she has moved into sheltered accommodation – which means she has to part with her artwork.
But Pat did not let this get her down instead she saw it as the perfect opportunity to raise some cash for the charity.
Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, and The Gallery at Bank Quay House, have teamed up to present an exhibition and charity auction of her original artwork.
More than 30 pieces will be auctioned for the charity.
Pat’s work includes paintings of Warrington and its surrounding areas, in both oil and watercolour.
The exhibition opens on October 11 at The Gallery, in Sankey Street, and is free to visit. The auction takes place on Thursday October 21 at 6pm.
The gallery will also accept silent bids, which can be submitted at the venue, prior to the event.
