Thanks – for drinking coffee!

WARRINGTON people who took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning last month to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support have been thanked by the charity.
A total of 94 coffee mornings were held across the Warrington and hundreds of people – family, friends and work colleagues – got together for a coffee, cake and chat.
Two million people in the UK are currently living with cancer, and one in three will be diagnosed with it during their lifetime, so Macmillan’s services are needed more than ever.
Fundraising volunteer Louise Dawson said: “We are very grateful for every single pound raised. Thanks to everyone who held a coffee morning or popped along to an event, Macmillan will be able to provide even more information as well as practical, emotional and financial support for people affected by cancer in Warrington.
“If you did not manage to attend a coffee morning this year it is not too late to take part. You can in fact donate the cost of your coffee by texting SIP to 70123. Texts cost £3, £2.80 of which will come directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.”
