Artists will be in the picture

ARTISTS – and would-be artists – of all ages and abilities can get together to put themselves in the picture when Warrington celebrates the national “Big Draw” event.
The event is designed to bring out people’s creative talents and will be focussed on Warrington Market on Saturday, October 16.
Between 11am and 3pm people will be able to express themselves through drawing or printing.
Taking part in the project will be Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, The Gallery at Bank House, 12 local primary schools, Warrington Collegiate, Warrington Wolves Charity Foundation, the Libraries Service and a number of local art groups.
Market visitors will be able to draw anything from self portraits to drawings of one of the weird and wonderful artefacts from the museum’s collection.
They can then either swap it for someone else’s drawing – or take it home with them.
In addition they can contribute a portrait of themselves to add to a large drawing that will be displayed at the Pyramid Arts Centre after the event.
