RESIDENTS are being urged to meet local police officers during a special community engagement day at a Warrington primary school.
Pupils of Grappenhall Heys Primary School will also be able to meet officers at the Stansfield Drive school on Thursday, October 7.
A mobile police unit will be set up in the school car park between 11.30am and 4.30pm and residents are being encouraged to pop in. They can meet local officers face-to-face, talk about any issues or concerns and find out more about recent operations and initiatives that local officers have been involved in.
Pupils at the school will given advice on a variety of topics including staying safe, looking after their belongings and road safety.
PCSO Victoria Fox, who is co-ordinating the event with PC Steve Martin, said: “This is the ideal opportunity for local residents to come along and meet their neighbourhood officers. Officers will be on hand to talk to residents about any issues or concerns they might have and offer any advice or support if needed.”
