Help and advice for carers

CARERS in Warrington can now get help and advice in their neighbourhood thanks to a new series of drop-in sessions being organised by a local charity.
Warrington Carers Centre, The Bungalow, Garven Place, is organising outreach sessions throughout the town.
A spokesman said: “A carer is someone who without payment helps or supports a relative, child, neighbour or friend who because of illness, disability, frailty or addiction is unable to manage alone.”
Drop-in sessions are held at the centre every Monday and Friday from 10am to 2pm.
For those who cannot get to the centre, outreach carers support workers are visiting the following venues:St Andrews Church Hall, Howson Road, Orford, every Wednesday from 10am to 12noon, Fearnhead Cross Community Centre, Insall Road, Fearnhead, Thursdays 10am to 12noon.
Culcheth Methodist Church, Ellesmere Avenue, first Monday of the month (excluding Bank Hols) 2pm to 3.30pm, Birchwood Community Church, Birchwood Shopping Centre, second Monday of the month (excluding Bank Holidays), 2pm to 3.30pm, Woolston Leisure Centre, Hall Road, last Monday of the month (excluding Bank Holiday) 2pm to 3.30pm.
Burtonwood Library, Chapel Lane, Thursdays, 2pm to 3.30pm, on October 14 and 28, November 11 and 25, December 9 and 23 and January 6 and 20.
Penketh Library, Honiton Way, Wednesdays 2pm to 3.30pm, on October 6 and 20, November 3 and 17, December 1 and 15, and January 12 and 26.
St Thomas’ Church, London Road, Stockton Heath, Wednesdays, 12noon to 1.30pm, The Sanctuary Cafe, Lymm United Reformed Church, Brookfield Road, Thursdays 10am to 12noon, St Mary Magdalene Church, Dingleway, Appleton, Thursdays 1pm to 2.45pm.
