WARRINGTON Town manager Joey Dunn has been named Manager of the Month in recognition of the club’s unbeaten start to the season.
Dunn captured the Evo-Stik First Division North prize with his side coming through September as the only unbeaten side in the division during which time his team played eight games. Warrington are, in addition, one of just two First Division North sides still remaining in the FA Cup.
Commenting on the award Dunn said: “I would like to thank everyone connected with the club as it is the whole club that wins an award like this.
“I am the only name they can choose but it is the efforts of everyone which are reflected by this, so well done to everyone and lets make sure we get even better!”
Dunn will be hoping his team can maintain their unbeaten run when they travel to Shepshed Dynamo in the FA Trophy tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
If they can avoid defeat it will be a new club record for an unbeaten start to a season, stretching over two months and 12 games.
