THE closing date for Warrington Borough Council’s birthday card design competition aimed at encouraging young people to vote is fast approaching, but it’s still not too late to send in your designs!
The council is looking for an eye-catching and unique design for the front of a card that will be sent to all residents turning 18.
It will be a reminder that, along with the other things you can do when you turn 18, you also have the right to vote.
Not only will the designer of the winning entry have their artwork seen by young people across the borough, they will also win a fabulous prize worth £50.
So if you are aged between 14 and 18 and think you can come up with a winning design, go to www.warrington.gov.uk/News/2010/August and click on ‘design a birthday card’ to download an entry form.
But hurry, the closing date is This Friday, October 1!
