Name change for boxing club

A WARRINGTON boxing club will change its name when it moves to a new state of the art gym.
The Phoenix Boxing Club is to be renamed the Phoenix Fire ABC next month (October), and will move to a gym funded by Cheshire Fire Brigade on Winwick Road.
The club recently held an awards night, and marked the help it has been given by Great Sankey Parish Council by launching The GSPC Shield (named after the council).
The shield goes to the Best Schoolboy aged 11 to 13. First winner was Grady James, of Whittle Hall, who previously attended boxing sessions at Whittle Hall Community Centre.
Picture shows Grady James being presented with his prize by parish council chairman Jim Regan.
