POLICE are appealing for the driver of a car involved in a collision with a pedestrian at Warrington to come forward.
The collision took place around 5.10pm on Tuesday (September 7) when a 26-year- old woman from Padgate, was crossing the road in Green Lane, Padgate.
She was moving between cars waiting in a queue and as the cars began to move, one of them, moving at low speed, caught her on the leg.
The driver stopped immediately, as did others, to check with the pedestrian if she was all right. But they then carried on their journey.
Later, however, the pedestrian suffered pain in her leg and shock and went to Warrington Hospital where she was detained with fractures to two bones in her leg.
Police are now appealing for the driver of the car involved – possibly a dark colour Vauxhall Vectra or Astra – to contact them. It was driven by a woman, with a male front seat passenger and children in the rear.
A police spokeswoman said: “If you recognise yourself from this description, please contact Joe Royle at the Roads Policing Unit at Warrington on 0845 458 0000.”
Police would also like to hear from other drivers in the queue who may have seen what happened, or to anyone else who witnessed the incident.
