Top pianist will play Chopin

DISTINGUISHED concert pianist Malcolm Binns is to give a recital of music by Chopin in Lymm on Sunday, October 3.
The performance will be at Lymm United Reform Church, Brookfield Road and is being presented by Music in Lymm, in association with the Lymm Festival.
Mr Binns was Editor’s Choice in the 2009 Penguin Guide to Classical CDs, which said of him: “…his pianism and musicianship are magisterial, matched by few and surpassed by none.”
A veteran concerto soloist in many BBC Henry Wood Promenade Concerts he has worked with many leading orchestras and conductors around the world, including Boulez, Boult, Dorati, Haitink and Rattle. He broadcasts and records extensively.
Tickets, available at the door or in advance from Lymm Electric, in Bridgewater Street, are £8 (students and children £2).
The proceeds will be donated to Lymm Festival.
