Community campus goes on show

AN open day is being held at Culcheth High School on Saturday, September 18 including tours of the school’s new community campus.
Members of the public will be able to see the new £28 million school, which boasts technology suites, conference rooms, recording studio and sports facilities.
Pupils have been involved in the design of the light, airy building from the start, and consideration of the environment has been a key feature in the construction of the new school.
On the open day visitors can also join the contemporary gym and pick up a programme for Meadow View Sure Start Children’s Centre.
The children’s centre staff will be offering a range of fun, interactive activities on the day for young children and their parents, while the council’s youth service team will also be on hand to discuss future provision for young people within the new build.
The open day will run from 10am to 2pm and tours will take place every 15 minutes, so there is no need to book. But more information is available from 01925 767587.
