Two escape house fire

TWO people escaped from their smoke filled house at Warrington after fire broke out during the night.
The blaze was at a house in Marshall Avenue, Dallam.
Fire crews were called to the scene and found a well established fire in a first floor bedroom. The occupants, a man and a woman, had escaped unharmed from the property and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with hosereel jets.
Afterwards a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
Cause of the fire was the accidental ignition of a quantity of clothing.
