A FAULT on the Cheshire Police non-emergency ‘phone number has led to problems for some people trying to call them today.
Members of the public have reported having to call the number 0845 458 0000 a number of times before the line would connect.
As a result, police have made an altenrative non-emergency number, 01244 350000 available for people experiencing difficulties.
A spokesman said: “We are working hard to rectify the problem.”
The emergency 999 number is not affected.
