Row over new field accesses

NEW unauthorised kerbed accesses to fields currently being installed in Booths Lane, Lymm have angered local residents.
They claim the development is damaging the rural character of the area and have complained to the borough council.
Officers have visited the site and the company has agreed to suspend work.
Coun Sheila Woodyatt said: “In planning terms the new accesses benefit from agricultural permitted development rights so no enforcement action can be taken.
“From the highway point of view, a permit is needed to carry out such works.”
Talks are to take place between the highways department and the land owner to try and resolve the issue and ascertain the purpose of the new access points.
