WORK by members of Warrington Art Group will be displayed in a prestigious Cheshire venue.
The group’s annual trophy exhibition will be at Tatton Park, Knutsford, for the seventh successive year.
The exhibition, which runs from August 28 to September 12 (excluding Monday September 6), is a celebration of local art from more than 30 Cheshire artists.
Those taking part will be competing for the Jean Wild Cup for best overall entry and the Edwin Allen Cup for the best interpretation of the subject “H2O.”
Guest judge this year is professional artist Geoff Kersey, of Derbyshire. He has published several books and produced DVDs about his craft and also demonstrated his work on television.
There will also be a People’s Choice competition, which is decided by the votes of visitors, with a specially-commissioned glass trophy as a prize.
The exhibition will be held in the Knutsford Room in the Stableyard. There will be information about each artist and the opportunity to buy the art on show.
Entrance to the event is free but there is a park entry charge of £5 per car.
