A MAN arrested when police raided a house in Warrington has been ordered to pay more than £500 by a court.
Michael Barrowcliffe, 23, from Liverpool was at a house in Bexhill Avenue, Orford when police carried out a drugs raid.
Police seized a large quantity of cash and a mobile phone from him and also found suspected Class A drugs.
Later, Class A drugs were also seized from Barrowcliffe while he was in custody.
He was subsequently charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
At Warrington Crown Court, Barrowcliffe pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for three and-a-half years.
A Proceeds of Crime Act confiscation order was granted by the Judge who agreed that Barrowcliffe had benefited from his crime to the sum of £1,207.50. Barrowcliffe’s available assets were determined at the value of £527.50 and the Judge ordered him to pay that amount.
Barrowcliffe did not contest the forfeiture of the cash.

  1. So they agreed that he had benefitted to the tune of £1,207.50…… from dealing in crack????? are they having a laugh? Maybe if they move the decimal point a few places to the right they may get the actual figure….. no wonder the guilty scum “Barrowcliffe did not contest the forfeiture of the cash”…… £527.50 is a good result for him I bet and what are the chances it will come via benefits anyway?
