Motor cyclist serious in hospital

POLICE are still seeking witnesses of a serious road crash which closed the A56 near Warrington for four hours.
A 45-year-old motor cyclist from Altrincham is detained in Warrington Hospital with serious injuries following the crash, which involved his red Ducati motorcycle and a red Renault Clio driven by a 49-year-old woman from High Legh.
The road reopened at 12.20pm after being closed in both directions at Agden Brow, Lymm, since 8.20am.
Police said the motor cyclist remained in a serious condition. His next of kin have been informed.
