Sharing memories of the past

RESIDENTS of a Warrington care home and the local community enjoyed a day of sharing memories.
Staff and residents at CLS care home Westy Hall, Latchford, hosted the Memory Fair in support of The Alzheimer’s Society.
Guests and residents shared photographs and memories of growing up, living and working in Latchford, while enjoying tea and special “nostalgia cakes.”
They enjoyed hearing the area’s war stories and viewed historic photographs shown by Mike Kenwright, a member of Latchford History Society.
Residents and guests also made their own displays, writing down their fond memories of Latchford from years gone by, and pinning them onto special “memory walls,” along with personal photographs from the past, for everybody to enjoy.
Proceeds from the day will go to The Alzheimer’s Society and a comfort fund for residents.
