Bramley Buffaloes 32 Warrington Wizards 32

WARRINGTON Wizards suffered a 32-20 defeat at table toppers Bramley Buffaloes in The Co-operatve Rugby League Conference National.
The Wizards started the game strongly and took an early 4-0 lead but the home side came into the game after 20 minutes and gained a win that has almost certainly secured them the league leaders shield once again.
Meanwhile the Wizards have two league games left and victory in both will secure second place going into the play off series.
Tries for the Wizards were scored by player/coach Chris Campbell (2) and Wizards man of the match Jono Smith (2). Smith also landed two conversions.
After the game assistant coach Mike Grady said: “We are disappointed not to have won the game but can be proud of the efforts that saw us secure a bonus point in the dying moments which could prove to be vital come the end of the season.
” We domintaed for the first 20 minutes, but against a side like Bramley that is not long enough. We have a crucial game at Kippax Knights on Saturday and we will be preparing for that in training this week.”
The Wizards travel to Kippax Knights for a 12 noon kick off. The coach leaves The Village Hotel at 9.00am for any supporters wishing to travel. Contact Nikki Whalley on 01925 837829 to secure a place.
