It's playday for the kids

PLAYDAY, the annual celebration of children’s right to play, takes place in Warrington on Wednesday (August 4).
From 10am until 3pm, there will be free activities on Bridge Street, including face painting, badge making, nail art, hair braiding, a drum workshop, massage sessions, circus skills and a children’s entertainer at Market Gate doing magic shows.
The theme for the campaign will be “Our place”. It puts children at the heart of the community and asks everyone, young and old, to help create better places for all to live and play.
Research shows that, through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them, develop confidence, self-esteem and creativity – it is an essential part of every child’s emotional and physical development.
