Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 6, 9 and 16 – but no-one claimed the jackpot prize which will be rolled over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Railings refused
PLANS for a boundary wall with railings and electric gates at a house in High Warren Close, Appleton have been refused by Warrington planning bosses.

Ringing birds
EXPERTS will be attaching identification rings to wild birds at Moore Nature Reserve, near Warrington, today (Saturday) from early morning. Anyone interested is invited to watch the activity close up.

Lift approved
BOROUGH council planners have approved proposals for service lift from the ground floor to the first floor at Warrington Town Hall.

Plans refused
WILLIAMS Tarr Ltd have been refused planning consent to change the use of a builder’s yard for car sales and maintenance in Bridge Road, Woolston, Warrington.

Rushbearing
THE annual Rushbearing ceremony at Lymm takes place on Sunday, August 8 with a procession through the village to St Mary’s Parish Church, followed by a church service.
