THE swimming pool at Great Sankey Leisure Centre is to close for a week while work is carried out on repairs to the heating system.
Work is expected to start on Monday, August 9 and should take a week to complete. The pool should re-open on Monday, August 16.
Changing rooms will also be closed while the work goes on but the rest of the leisure centre will remain open.
A council spokeswoman said: “The work is to fix the system which heats air coming in to the building, which will improve heating on the poolside and in the poolside changing rooms.”
