Motorist dies in car crash

A MOTORIST died in a road crash at Warrington last night.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Farrell Street when a car careered off the road and collided with a tree.
No other vehicle was involved and police are investigating.
No further details are yet available
Meanwhile, fire crews were called to a house in Frederick Street, Latchford when fire broke out involving a dishwasher in the kitchen.
The family had gone out leaving a dishwasher operating and it developed a fault leading to a fire. Damage was confined to the machine, although there was slight smoke damage in the kitchen. The alarm was raised when the family returned.
A firefighter who attended the incident said: “We advise that people should not leave dishwashers or washing machines on when they go out.”
Firefighters were also called to Vose Close, Great Sankey where vandals set light to a skip on the drive of a house. Damage was restricted to the contents of the skip.
