Vandals start house fire

A FIRE in the garden of a house at Warrington spread into the kitchen and caused severe damage during the night.
Vandals are believed to have started the blaze at the property in Summerfield Avenue, Dallam, using rubbish in the garden.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus had to break into the unoccupied house and used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire. A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the house.
