Youngsters play in their own World Cup

YOUNGSTERS took part in their own version of the World Cup organised by Broomfields Youth Project at Appleton, Warrington.
The Youth World Cup Events were held at Broomfields Leisure Centre with two tournaments – Under 15’s and Adult.
Afterward, the awards presentation and a barbecue were held at Hill Cliffe Baptist Church. Then youngsters joined a crowd of 300 venue to watch the England v USA game on two large screens. A party of 40 visiting American students also attended.
The project is showing all the England games at the church, with doors opening half an hour before kick off. The games will be shown on 28-feet screens and no alcohol is allowed on site.
The crucial England v Slovenia game will be shown today (Wednesday). Doors open at 2.30pm and all are welcome.
