Overseas success for Akme Security

WARRINGTON based AKME Security have become the first UK company to receive duel accreditation for the security industry in the UK and Cyprus.
Since expanding from their Warrington HQ to the holiday island AKME have gone from strength to strength, culminating in Akme Securitas (Cyprus) Limited being awarded, Approved Security Service Contract Provider Status, By the Republic Of Cyprus Government, the equivalent accolade they hold in the UK with the SIA.
AKME chief executive, former Grenadier Guard Jeff Greenwood said: “This is a unique honour and I am extremely proud that in a relatively short space of time we have achieved the highest security accolades available to our industry in the UK and Cyrus.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to the UK Trade & Investment team for all their help, support and advice.
“The security industry has been going through very tough times but through hard work and determination we are continuing to grow and expand.”
The accreditation took in to consideration four main factors and gathered relevant information as fact finding proof of evidence via audits of the company-
company staff and clients feedback over a one week operation and this will be followed up annually the same as the UK SIA on going development.
To meet the requirements Akme had to meet various criteria including:
* Company structure, quantifications and experience in the field of security services and security alarm systems
* Company procedures, quality manuals and professional practices
* Client satisfaction, customer care and professional advice,
* Operatives and staff training, record keeping and on going training, employee development training and employee investment
AKME were assisted by UK Trade & Investment (Cyprus Overseas Market Introduction Service) who by coincidence also have an office based in Warrington!
